Today's prayer: A single eye
randal
16:33h
Lord, so many visions, pictures, images, sights catch our eye. In spite of the flashes of color and quick movement of people and objects, may we be drawn to the description of Jesus Christ and him crucified, with our focus on the joy that was set before him. May our eye be single, so that we see no other sight but him, to follow only in his steps. Amen. ... Link Thursday, 8. April 2004
Sharp eyes
randal
10:47h
Had my eyes checked last Monday, first time in 8-9 years. Have a slight nearsightedness in left eye, which I had 20 years ago. The ophthalmologist said I didn't need to wear glasses. Today's prayer: Educate me
randal
13:49h
Lord, you have all knowledge of all thing. You put in man the desire to learn and discover. Today, education is a prime concern of individuals and governments. Educate me in the ways of righteousness. I know that Christ is your wisdom for man. All you have for us is in him. Without him, I am but another ignorant fool, no matter how many university degrees I might have. Through his knowledge of you, Amen. ... Link Friday, 2. April 2004
Hurricane season
randal
10:59h
This past weekend Brazil had a hurricane down south. Probably a first. We NEVER get hurricanes here. Actually, the national weather service here called it a cyclone, but the U.S. service classified it as a hurricane. Whatever. It killed a few people, here they didn't expect the winds to get over 50-60 kph, but it got up to 150 kph. Egg on face of weather service. ... Link ... Next page
