Tim Smith gave us an exercise on the Christian Poets list a few days ago: take an irreverent look at a deep subject. What I ended up with may not qualify, but what with springtime breaking out in Brazil and elections nearing in October, I probably got more irreverent than deep.

And I'll let my Cloudburst Poetry subscribers pipe up on that one.

I sometimes leave material at the padaria on the square close to my office. One fellow picked up The Voice of Truth International and called to invite me to write a column in a construction magazine he's launching this month.

Article's written, sent off to friends for reactions, and to the revisor for tweaking. Let's see what they say.

I had misplaced one of the books for my article, "Books by Brethren that Have Benefited Me," so I was late getting it in to the Gospel Advocate editor. Today I finally got it in. Of course, I didn't remind him it was late. But he had probably liked my query proposal so well that he was counting the days past due. Yeah, right!
