A Healing Season

She cried tonight.
Tears of remorse and concern
flowed from her soul
for our destruction.

She sighed softly.
Quietly resigning herself
to the rebuilding
of our love.

She smiled today.
Not very deep or extended,
yet betraying healing
deep within her soul.

She laughed aloud.
An honest, hearty sound,
responding in true joy
to a renewed me.

We touched at last.
Each reaching deeply
to grasp the self
of the other.

I'm finishing up Bonnie Thurston's To Everything a Season: A Spirituality of Time. Excellent work, though she's weak on inspiration of Scripture and other points.

Thurston is Professor of NT at the Pittsburg Theological Seminary and an ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). So that gives you an idea of where she comes from. But aside from some sticky points, the book will give you a moment to reasses your life and use of time.

The tinkerers behind this site tweaked a bit hard yesterday and the system went haywire. Looks like they're getting it back in order, but on my Portuguese Alcance site, I added a blurb, but it didn't show up on the main page.

They still have some work to do.
