Back with a couplet today. From this little quote by an unknown source: "Failure is never final for those who begin again with God." Okay, so I souped it up a little. Poetic license.

The point is, failure is never the end. God offers repentance, a new start, a new life, a new opportunity. It's up to us to take advantage of it. Today!

Loud volume can't compete with clarity:
I turn to hear a whisper across the room,
whose force resides in a sharp and lucid key;
while hands clap ears at the passing sonic boom.

A writer's list published the following quote with a challenge to "prove" the premise by writing a short story, poem, essay, whatever:

"A loud voice cannot compete with a clear voice, even if it's a whisper." --Barry Neil Kaufman

I came up with the quatrain above.

Back to today's verse: don't be loud; be right, be
clear, and be loving. Then you'll be heard.

Okay, I took the earlier saying (see previous post) and rhymed and coupled it.

Today is a gift, be it painful or pleasant;
perhaps that's the reason we call it the present.

Here's another little couplet from my hand:

Toward every person show a tender heart;
Go learn from Christ the burden-bearing art.

My time is up, and I must go,
I leave what little I've done.
May God make every effort grow
and finish what I've begun.
